Thanks so much for a great trip. My dad and I had a really good time. Your expertise, knowledge of the area, and great personality made for a wonderful day. I think if we had made the decision earlier to switch to spinning gear however, we would have caught a lot of the fish we saw that day. You'll be happy to know we are now both working on our fly casting and are planning a trip back down for next year.

My dad will be sending some pictures of the monster stripped bass a.k.a "rockfish" that we have caught up here. If you ever get to VA in the fall or spring of the year, that's when the fish make their runs to and from the ocean through the Chesapeake Bay and it's tributaries, drop a line and we'll be happy to take you out after some of these monsters. Thanks again for the great trip and memories.

I cannot speak highly enough of David's ability and expertise. He got us onto some big fish even when the conditions were not favorable.

You have found a convert in terms of fishing saltwater. Who needs a crowded boat 20 - 30 miles off shore? Big fish, light tackle, and small numbers of people are the way to go!!

I will be back in the fall and will give you a call for at least one day, maybe two, when we can get out.

Thanks for the wonderful time fishing the flats on the 20th of May. My father-in-law and I had a great trip and are looking forward to coming back in October! (I'll let you know the dates)

Even through the wet weather, wind, and (our) inexperience, the fish couldn't keep off our hooks - much to our delight. David's expertise and patient instruction made all the difference.

Thanks for a wonderful time and some extra added fishing after the storm had passed (I still think it was just heat lightning!). After the week was done it looked like we should have fished Wednesday or Thursday night. Just my luck this year. Anyways, I enjoyed it and am looking forward to my saltwater adventure hopefully October of 2004.

I just wanted to let you know again that I had a blast last Wednesday morning catching those Bonita. I was sore as I could be the next morning! I'll be real anxious to see the pictures when you send those out.

Dear Alan,

On Monday October 13, Capt. Robert Cochran took myself, my wife Brenda and my father Jim out on a fishing charter. What fun we had! We were able to design our charter anyway we wanted, and with little or no fly fishing experience, we chose to troll and bottom fish.

The bonito were a great introduction to trolling, along with the feisty King Mackerel my wife landed. Bottom fishing was productive, with trigger fish, red and black snapper all making the ride home for later meals. The highlight of the trip for me was the amberjack. Though no 28" or better amberjack were taken that day, plenty of 26" and 27" fish were fought, caught and released. Next year I'll be going after bigger amberjack in deeper water. Those fish put up an incredible fight, and the experience truly humbled me.

Capt. Robert put us into fish immediately, was very knowledgeable of the area, and made for safe and enjoyable fishing trip. If he'll have us, I'll be booking another trip for next October.

I will highly recommend your charter services. Thanks for the great trip!

Thanks for a wonderful time fly-fishing. The trip was out of this world. Over the last year, I have been able to go to some wonderful places to fly-fish and obtaining a guide is the way to go. The tips you pick up are priceless. I also enjoyed our time together. You made the trip a wonderful experience. My family and friends have heard about the trip over and over.
